Accurate Review of Every Collection Account

Collection accounts are one of the most common credit report problems we see, and also one of the easiest to get wrong on your own. Duplicate listings, debt that's past its reporting window, accounts sold to a collector without proper documentation, and collections that simply aren't yours all show up more often than people expect. We review your file to find out which of these actually apply to you.

  • Full review of every collection account across all three bureaus
  • Dispute of inaccurate, duplicate, or unverifiable collections
  • Guidance on pay for delete requests when it makes sense for your situation
  • Documentation and follow up if a creditor doesn't respond properly

Why Collections Are Often Removable

When a debt is sold to a collection agency, the paperwork doesn't always follow it cleanly. Balances get inflated, the same debt gets reported by more than one collector, or the original creditor's records don't match what the collection agency is reporting. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, a collector has to be able to verify what they're reporting. When they can't, it has to come off your report.

Paying a collection off doesn't automatically remove it from your report, and we'll always tell you that honestly rather than let you assume otherwise. What we look at first is whether the account is even accurate and verifiable in the first place, since that's usually the faster path.

What Happens After You Sign Up

We pull your full file, flag every collection account worth challenging, and handle the dispute correspondence with the bureaus on your behalf. You'll get updated copies of your report so you can see exactly what was removed and what's still being worked on.
